We have an idea who did it, though we're not gearing up for the Spanish Inquisition. Mistakes happen, hopefully it will be a strong reminder to avoid a similar situation. After a late night call, I could easily see myself doing something like it.
We are in negotiations with the first shop over their bill. They were as frustrated as we were over the situation, and rather embarrassed that they couldn't find the problem.
I have to say, I did a "sniff test" on the filler necks of the other diesel trucks we have. If one of them goes down, it could bankrupt us.
