brake drum stuck

i am trying to get my rear axle for paint, but i can't get the right brake drum off. ive tried almost everything except apply heat to it... is there some trick on getting it off... i adjusted the brake cams and the drum will spin fairly easy, but just wont come off the pads or w/e is holding it up.. i took the left drum off with no problems, just a few taps with a mallet. thanks

Powerwagon 1948. Who owned this in CO?
