My company Atlas Copco will still sell you a jackleg if you want. That's definetly the man's man way of mining. One of the geo's Randy Mc Clure is still a jackleg competition champ in Creede, and another fellow Ken, who's last name escapes me now (he owns the Mines and Memories shop) gave me a great rundown on town history. He takes pictures and documents every drill site to keep the timeline going.
