Hi Paul. My son and I bought Buckstop bumpers, front and rear, 6 years ago. His black bumper started losing the finish after about 3 years. My silver bumper has held up far better, but has been failing for a year or so. His bumper has been pulled and sandblasted and painted black. It's holding up very well. My bumper will come off soon for the same. Mine is not peeling, but chipping badly and starting to show rust under the finish at several locations. I am very happy with the bumpers, but not with the powder coating, in either case. As you say, at least you can repair/touch up paint.
