With a good hole in-place, you can go up in bit sizes fairly easily - once you drill it out so that more than 1/2 of the area is gone, see if you can hit an edge counter clockwise with a punch or cold chisel to break it loose.
I have never had a lot of luck with the easy-outs unless I hit the bolt with Oxy/Acetelene and got it bright red to break things loose.
If you've got a Mig welder, you can also weld a nut on the end or perpindicularly weld another bolt to have something to grab.
