Some would argue that up here. The 12 gauge with slugs is first choice and that is also loaded. I take quite a few fishermen into remote areas and have had lots of bear encounters over the last 10+ years and fortunately have never had to shoot. I hope/plan for that to continue. A cow moose with calves scares me more than a brown or grizzly.
