I dont believe resale value has anything to do with the quality of a vehicle. it has to do with popularity. Ford F-series has beenthe best selling vehicle for 28 years. but has it been the best truck made for 28 years? no way. dodge only has small piece of the market share but does that mean they make the worst truck? absloutley not. all the trucks in those tests are good trucks by any standards but I believe that test is objective and shows a typical example of japanese under engineering. a toyota tacoma I admit is a very good vehicle but it is not a truck. it is a 4 wheel drive car with a box on the back. and the engine tpically do not last as long as people like to believe. I have literally seen many odometers in the junkyards on toyota pick ups and by far most have less than 200 K on the clock. while some other brands had typically more.
