I think one of the "other" posts should get grounded, though I'm not specifically familiar with that unit. Usually one goes to power, one goes to ground via the mounting bracket and one goes to the gauge. This makes for a balanced arrangement so that the needle position isn't affected by changes in the battery voltage.
