Attach the correct size socket-driven screw tool to your socket extension/ U-drive.
Sears/Craftsman and better lines of tools have these. They are basically your normal size (3/8 drive) sockets, but instead of having six or eight sided 'sockets' for boltheads, they can be made for Torx screws, Allen and regular Phillips and standard screw drives.
