tuff times here, not much work, construction is dead, nobody is building anything and a lot of folks are selling way cheap to all the sharks taking advantage of the dire situation
tourism is down but still some movement in that area but nothing like it used to be, the thugs took all the gringos money and when the gringos ainīt go no money nothing happens
they have a cozy relationship in the banking set up
i was thinking about this the other day, when i first moved here i paid $500 a month for a nice place, pool fruit trees, large yd.(i planted a giant garden and we had about 30 chickens and traded eggs to the local grocery store but all I had to come up with was 5000 colones(cr money) a month, now 5000 colones is $10 not $500, talk about being taken to the cleaners, and that place probably still rents for $500
