I'm with you and that's a pet peeve of mine if I offer a suggestion then not hearing the outcome. I had a feeling the tube would not come out since I had to drill out the brass seat for the float. This old machine sets outside and always gets water in the gas tank. I sealed every possible place I thought water could enter but it always gets in. Most likely condensation. Once I get it running I won't have to worry about anymore
