i like the idea of making a longer flatbed. make it long enough to accomplish what you need length wise and put the spare tire in the front of the bed. start the headache rack, behind the spare. use a m37 bed spare bracket mounted to the headache rack. use the space in front of the headache rack for a tool or storage box.
