Boxes and bubble wrap aren't free, and neither is the labor of packing stuff well. A dollar or so above the actual freight rate to cover "handling" does not seem like a rip-off to me. Some vendors include it in the price of the product and some add it to the shipping cost. Either way it has to be paid.
