Did you pull the lead plugs and clean the passage ways to the jets? Or verify with carb clean that they were open? Or is the new gasket different covering the gas passage?
I know it is all elementary but I got caught on a stromburg 97. there was a hard piece of crud that acted like a one way valve in the passage to the jets.
