Just use a different radiator. I used the stock radiator out of a 1961 W300 in front of my wideblock 318. I just bent two pieces of sheetmetal for the mounting tabs, and had the neck extended at the radiator shop to fit out the top of the cowl. The inner sheetmetal of the cowl was already cut so I'm just going to take it out completely.
