my folks used to have a home on Madeline Island
I made it there about 4 5 times in the last 30 years but only in the summer
beautiful to say the least as was all of wisconsin i saw
I would either fly into duluth(my dad is from duluth) of st. paul/minne and drive
was always hoping to see some flat fenders
and actually saw one green civy and an m37 somewhere like between ashland and bayview, always wanted to stop but was always with family and they did not want to be bothered
one of my most cherished finds tho was a post card that the caption read was "Giant waver crashing on the shores of Lake Superior
it looked like it was about 10 ft. with a sideshore/offshore wind howling into the barrel breaking off a rock point somewhere on the lake
caption does not say where
no snow on the ground, be nice if it was in sept. and someone could take advantage--lol
