Pretty gutsy to steal such a recognisable/unique unit, I mean, it aint a Honda Civic or something. I once traded a 1959 Chev. Sedan Delivery for a 1954 Jaguar 120 show car. It was a total custom with a 1959 Cadillac engine, BM-Hydro and looked like a Scarab, total body makeover. It had had a blower with a scoop in the hood. It had two four barrels when I got it. It was metallic blue metal-flake with pearl white racing stripes. Chopped top, all that stuff. This was back in the sixtys when all the mopar muscle surfer types had hot cars, they would all race at the drop of a hat. I cruised thru the local drive-in with all those guys setting there. This thing was so radical it almost jumped off the ground just idlin thru there. I went up to the corner, about a half a block, open field, no houses or other businesses. I looked all around, no cops. I started to turn the corner and jumped on that thing. It jumped forward and I turned the wheel and that sucker burned rubber in various gears, it was fishtailin out of control and I backed off, soon as I saw it pointing straight I jumped on it again, same show all over. I cruised back thru the drive in real slow. Ha! No takers, those Mopar/muscle guys were all deaf, dumb and blind all of a sudden. The car came from the L.A. area. I was in Santa Monica with the car and it loaded up and died in an intersection, some cops came up and helped push it out of the way. While pusing one asked me if I had papers for the car. I said yes, he said I better have because the car belonged to a friend of his. Well, the point was, steal a Honda or something, not a Power Wagon or a custom Jag. Bound to be noticed or found by somebody.
