So...I'm a little embarrassed to say what it was :) :)
The AC! I've only had this truck for a month & I've driven it back & forth to work but since it's warm...I've never touched the heat/defrost.
30 seconds after I opened the heat & pushed the defrost button to get the air out of the heater hoses...noise again! close the heat, & push off button & the racket stops 15 seconds later. So I guess an o-ring blew on the AC & the pump is making the craziest howling noise you've ever heard when the compressor builds pressure.
So...the cooling is fixed anyway :)
Onto the next problem :):)
