After browsing around his morning, I think I might've stumbled onto something: A guy named Garry has water pump repair packs, which includes shaft, impeller and seal for the early LA/A pumps- $29. The question remains as to whether or not I could take the repair pack and stuff it into a shortened, later LA housing. If so, we've found our answer to the water pump quandry. I'll call him today and see if he knows. However, I'd like to see the setup with the long housing and a pusher, too- that'd make my setup cost $0!!
