Spring U Bolt Nuts
U Bolt size Torque
1/2-20 62 to 70 foot pounds
3/4-16 350 to 400 foot pounds
9/16-18 120-130 foot pounds
5/8-18 175-200 foot pounds
No mention is given whether U bolt threads should be lubed or not.
The U bolts I buy from the spring company clearly state Lube must be used and of course torque specs are less on a lubed fastener.
