I've been running 85W140 in everything with gears since I got a barrel of it for $20 at a yard sale and a bunch of 5-gallon buckets from gov't surplus, but it's really too thick for light trucks and I'm going to go with 80W90 for all light truck gear oil in the future. The 140 is very stiff in cold weather and judging from the gearbox temperatures it wastes a lot of fuel even when it's warmed up. Most of the rest of the sticky red gear oil will become chainsaw bar oil.
