The caps fit a gazzziilllon vehicles, everything from Ford to Peterbilt.
You want ummm 2 1/4 diameter, less than 90° bend. Most newer stuff has a flange spot welded on, but I bet you can hack that off.
And tanks and necks are not galvanized, they are tinned. Probably for anti-spark? ant-static? But they will solder very easily.
Hmm, I wonder if they stopped and do something different since catalytic converters?
