Sounds right to me. My W500 has the MU-2A with what I am told is the clutch handle from the LU-2. In any case, the handle is straight and longitudinal with the truck and the knob is out front. I was told that the winch was factory-installed and it looks that way to me.
By the way, the former owner told me that he kept breaking 7/16" cable so he mounted 1/2" and never broke that. That's what is on the spool now. I never checked the shear pin, so I don't know if it's soft enough to prevent damage. He was an aircraft mechanic and very particular about maintenance so I am not too worried about it.
