IHC
They are are great vehicles. I have a 1970 1300 series 4x4 with a 453 detroit diesel that my dad and I put in back in 1980. We installed a mason dump that is lowered into the chassis (easier to work out of). The front bumpers are extended about 10"s to wrap around the fender with a 1" pipe and 2 gussets bolted from the bumper ext. to the frame. The grill is made of 3/4 solid bar, it looks like a military head light grill only it's the length of the bumper. The bed rails are made from 3/4" pipe, we put tabs on the inside to allow for 3/4" plywood to slide in/out so we can haul dirt, sand.

The frame is boxed just in the rear, springs upgraded, airpump mounted under the bed, a pair of heavy duty 6 volt baterries mounted under the bed just behind the passenger, with jumper cables anchored to the truck (pos plugs in), snow plow, the pump is chain driven off the motor we welded a sproket to the pully, 1967 caddy electric seat and 33x16.5 wrangler tires. A 5 speed overdrive, belly band style emergency brake and, A Monster WAS CREATED

OH ya, ear plugs upon request!!

It takes a good truck to build a better truck

I only wish we did it with a POWER WAGON!!
