W-500 ramblings

work continues at a leisurely pace on the White Buffalo, my '66 ex-police command post W-500. i bought the two-speed axle from Britt in cool; someday i'll go up there and pick that sucker up. i'm told that, yes, i can find ring and pinion sets that'll give me a high side of 4something :1 and a low side that matches my front diff at 6.80:1. so maybe i'll be able to cruise down the highway at sixty mph without the motor turning 10,000 rpm...
two questions for the smart guys out there: one, is there a special interest section for w-500 owners in our club, and two, did dodge ever factory-build any cabover 4x4s, 6x6s, etc. i'm thinking particularly about directly before WW2...
