I have a 55 Powerwagon with braking problems. I have found an "electric booster" that is disconnected on the truck. I do not know if this piece of the system, that is currently disconnected, needs to be . Any help/suggestions out there.
The specific problem is that sometimes, and not all the time, I am unable to depress the brake pedal at all. Stopping in these cases is not an option. I am currently in the hunt for a new master cylinder but I don't really think it's the problem. I also don't see anything that looks like a hydro vac assist but I dont really know what Im looking for with regards to this piece of equipment. I only know the hydro vac from pictures from an old book "Audels" truck repair. From previous requests people have suggested adusting the rod to the Master Cyl.
I'll do that as soon as possible.
I really dont know what this electric gismmo is all about . Do I need it ?
