I hope you are experienced with dealing across the border. Friend of mine was with a church group that was trying to go into Mexico to build free houses for the poor. He had a large flatbead truck completly loaded with lumber and tools. Bottom line, after being seriously hassled at the Tijuana crossing they were turned away. They ended up crossing out in the desert in the middle of the night. After two weeks and two houses later, they were still severely hassled trying to get back into the USA with an empty truck. After 10 hours, some "arraignments" were made and they eventually made it back home. Bottom line - Make sure the price you pay for this truck reflects all of the possible hassles you might incure in getting this safely and legally across the border and registered on this side.
