Depending where you live, 10W-40 is a good all around choice, 5W-30 if you have winters with temps towards zero. You can even run 20W-50 in the warm months. I run 10-40 in my truck in Wisconsin winters, no problems, and 20-50 in summer. I also run 20-50 in my pulling truck, 528cid that sees 7000rpm+
