My 97 Land Rover Defender 90 will compete very nicely with any stock Jeep. Yes, the US version is overpriced (but holds its value) and arguably less reliable, although I've had no problems. The Rover v8 is American in origin. Rovers are worked hard the world over, but I guess them furriners don't know what they're doing. If I want to go out in the woods and play, I wouldn't do it in a new Jeep or a new Rover-- the M37 still rules. We don't need more flag/brand jingoism-- 4x4 types need to stick together.
