Jan,
The rerouting of the lines was not too bad. I was able to use almost all of my original lines when I converted the 56. For the 46 I am restoring I had to make all new lines for the entire truck so it really didn't matter to me.
Notice that my setup uses the original locat1on for the stop switch. The original setup with the single master cylinder runs a single line out of the end of the cylinder to the stoplight switch tee. Then out of this tee one line runs to the front of the truck and one line runs to the back.
What I did was to take the line for the front brakes out of the master cylinder and run it into the stoplight tee. Out of the front of the tee the original line can be used to run to the front axle. Then I plugged the back of the tee instead of running to the back brakes.
The line to the back brakes then connects to the other port on the master cylinder.
The hardest part of the job is to be sure you make tight enough bends coming out of the master cylinder so you do not have any clearance problems with your steering linkage.
The picture is what a complete set of brake lines for the entire truck looks like. The short line on the far left is MC to stoplight tee. The long line on that starts with a "U" bend on the far right is the line from the MC to the back.
