Yes, I checked to voltage while the engine is running, and at idle, it's pullin' 6.4 volts. When I run the engine at higher RPMs, the voltage increases to 7.6 volts. I haven't checked the current regulator, the circuit regulator, with the cover off. But I will try doing the method you suggested...when the sun comes up, and just see first of all if the points are welded. That'll be a good indicator that I have a problem. I thank you for your time, and giving my problem careful consideration. Hopefully I can get this figured out... thanks again!
