Looks great Will, just don't let water get into it. The timber will swell and deform. Living on a farm allows you to observe such things, the bed on my work 4x4 is t&g hardwood and was once as nice as that. The bed on the PW is old seasoned hardwood from an old flatbed, cut down to suit, I left gaps between the boards to allow for any weather changes. If it's never going to get wet, or you can seal it really well top and bottom, it should be good.
