Jerry, don't know what cha have planned for the stakes and rails, but I used Oak 4x4's, ripped 'em, sanded, and put marine varnish on them. I had logged some northern red oak, had it milled, and left the wain on one edge, sanded, and varnished. When I finished all the sanding, every knot had a natural star in them...blew my hair back, I mean really. God was good to me when that tree was struck by lightning...your work is payin' off, get well, and onward thru the fog...
