If that's the original siren wire, I would start with that as a reference. 12 gauge is good for 20 amps, 10 gauge for 30 amps. Above that, I'm no help. Since it's a relatively small siren, and will be getting intermittent use, I would probably run 10 gauge. With 6v, maybe bump it to 8 gauge.
Or, you could run it with a clamp meter on it and the mystery is solved.
