Much white smoke, but didn't fry it, only a three mile drive. But ran poorly by the time I got back to the shop. Oil is not high, but is muddy, but not a chocolate shake.
I'm going to try a Fel-Pro blue this time. $28 from Auto Zone, plus $5 shipping. Should be here in a few days.
Hmmm, now that I'm thinking, I never had that head off. Maybe 25 y.o. rebuild? But I thunk I did retorque it. Maybe. And it did get hot once since I've had it, when a freeze plug fell out. So now I'll see what is inside.
