What's "SRW"?
I'll see if there's a last-minute flurry of bidding. I expect it's being watched pretty closely. I won't bid against you, though, if you want it. I wonder if I could load my honda car in the back of it and drive them both home? I wonder where it was when it was being used by the state -- clearly not parked outdoors on the wet side of the mountains. Front tires are siped, which also implies it came from the East side. I notice it even has the original Mopar windshield washer bag.
The thing is, it really needs to be lightly restored and maintained as an unmolested original -- not used for hauling around the logging roads and cat trails of North Idaho. There are a lot of beat-up rusted-out, heavy old trucks that can do that.
After my experience with our mine tour trolley, I've come to appreciate the genius of the slant 6 (except the funky distributor drive gear that requires individual fitting and drilling to get in the right place). It was an engine that was ahead of its time in many ways. I wouldn't mind having a rig with a slant 6.
For practical hauling, though, I have the M35s, which are only a little bigger, can haul way more weight, have 6WD, will run on any combustible liquid, and have Rockwell axles that, if banged hard on a rock, will break the rock.
