There is a little free power in the ve imjection pump equipped cummins b engines by adjusting the fuel screw. When adjusting the fuel screw on a Cummins b engine and probably others with the VE pump there is apparently a point where the engine will run away though. Seems the best way to stop a runaway diesel is to have the intake off the Turbo and starve the engine with a 2x6 or thereabouts. I turned mine up a half turn which made a huge difference and still produces no smoke ever but am afraid to adjust any further.
