Yeah...accidents happen fast. Lost the tip of right index finger to a Skil Saw about eighteen years ago. Many power tools aren't 'lefty' friendly.
Nerves will regenerate. Last year I came down with Bells Palsy, paralyzing the left side of my face. Bit by bit nerves re-grew and all facial function returned. Just gotta give things time. (easy for me to say)
