Yes and as an architect and contract administrator in the trade for over 35 years I've seen a slide in jobsite labor skill, pride in work and ownership. Also a complete lack of understanding and respect of other trades. Prevailing wage, taxpayer funded work is often the worst. I do agree that that the book learned, degreed newbies with no life skills or field experience are problem children. This has always been the case for many years. There are exceptions however, and there are those who take pride and responsibility for quality work.
