I've seen something similar still in use at a very small sawmill north of Cd'A somewhere. It had one steering axle, but the chassis was turned around backwards (or perhaps I should say the seat and controls were moved to the back end, with the forklift mast attached to what had been the back of the truck. That seems like a better arrangement for maneuverability and load carrying. I couldn't tell for sure what it originally had been. I seem to recall it had a 4-cyl flathead, so maybe a Model A. The guy was still using it as a daily worker. There was no body -- just seat mounted out in the open on the back of the chassis.
