My current project came with an aluminum box inside. But my idea was to make it as big as possible. Then, while stripping the cab, I noticed that the cowl vent 'duct' had that corner bent. I figure it was to make room for the metal box?

So this thread brings up different considerations- room for defrost ducts, heater, and the cowl vent. Maybe oversize has more limitations than I had thought?
