I worked with a guy who, on the way back from Vietnam at the end of the war, was detailed to dump a load of brand new 6x6s off the deck of an aircraft carrier into the ocean. He respectfully asked "why?" and was told "to preserve American jobs". They did the same with brand new helicopters.
Do you think anything we sent to Iraq and Afghanistan is ever coming back?
