Took about five hours to weld it up out of stuff laying around.

That is 1" wafer board screwed to the inside of the door frames with huge sheet metal screws. The holes will be hidden by the cab liner later- much later.

It sure was nice to walk right up to the cowl vent to loosen the bolts and make it work. And a door check arm came tumbling out too.

The axle/ center of gravity is just in front of the seat base, and about 19" high from door threshold. The boards are angles to leave clearnace to do the bottom corners of the dash.

It still needs some kind of lock. Probably flanges between axle and wafer boards, then clamp the axle ends to the stanchions. Plus the stancions are adjustable for height by telescoping, but I doubt they need more. Not sure whether to cut them a bit to lose some height, it does work right here.

It's going to be nice for welding repairs to the 90-some holes, cleaning the bottom, patching the only rust through at the bottom back of the cab. Then build a tent around it to sandblast.
