It's a corn sheller from the era when corn was harvested on the ear and stored in cribs. When the time came to market the corn, you called the guy with the truck mounted sheller.
The corn goes in the rear; cobs, husks and all. The corn comes out the auger on top, the husks are blown out the large tube and the cobs are elevated off to the side. Lots of hard work to keep the unit feed with the ear corn. I emptied a lot of cribs in my time.
