I find the M37 TM to get the best directions for a 3rd member rebuild. The key to success is to be able to read and totally understand what you read, and then to execute those instructions as you rebuild your 3rd member. Do not get creative and not follow the TM's instructions. A well stocked took cabinet will handle your rebuild. You will need a dial indicator, feeler gauge and fab some sort of a method to hold the 3rd member while you work on it.
If you do not feel able to do this work, hire it out. Its a expensive area to make mistakes.
