Doesn't seem like you have much of a backboard to protect the cab. I made one with 2x2x1/4" tube and 3/8"x4" FB. The gussets on the ends are 1.5x2.5x5/16 and make the whole thing very stable.

If you're ever going to use the bed for serious work, a sturdy backboard is necessary.
