I went to the annual Gun and Horn show this afternoon, instead of working on the spotlight problem. Hoping to find one of 3 particular guns I want. (Colt Python, Win. Mod. 97 12 ga., and Browning 22 takedown). Anyway, the guns are always neat to look at. What a spectrum between the new stainless and plastic stuff and the beautiful old blued masterpieces, some aging with patina, sort of like Power Wagons with a barrel. Struck out on the quest, but I did manage to run into a few friends I hadn't seen lately, subcontractors that I hire, when we have something to do. So I got to see old friends and a lot of old rifles, shotguns and pistols. Prices are holding, if not increasing, on the guns, so, if you are buying, it's not so good, but all in all, it is good. Soon I hope to be out in this spot, chasing the pre-spawn Northern Pike and bass.
