transmission capacity 5 pints?

I'm hoping to re-install my PTO this weekend, and my book says five pints of oil for the transmision. I'm a bit worried because I don't see a number with the PTO and without the PTO, and I have to imagine with the PTO takes a bit more. Am I missing something?
