I just had a conversation with a Mobil oil guy at the Logging Conference in Eugene, OR this morning about that very thing among other things. This is the second oil guy that told me the very same thing. I mentioned I always made sure I used a Fleetguard Stratapore filter. Both times I was told with that style and quality of filter if I change oil sooner than 10,000 miles I would be throwing money down the toilet.
