If you want the best coating on the planet as far as preventing something from ever rusting again...try this product I attached the link below. When dry, it's 90% Zinc.
The first time I bought it...you pick up the gallon & you're going to be surprised! :) I bet a gallon weighs 3 times as much as a regular gallon of epoxy :)
This is what they paint bridges etc that are subject to salt water for years & years...& it applies easy. When I bought it, it was only available in grey but I just top coat it with black for frames etc.
